<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type or a slide type portable terminal that can output a quality stereo sound having a sense of realism, use a speaker both as a receiver for receiving a call and as a speaker for outputting various sounds, and communicate in both handset and hands-free styles regardless of the opening/closing state. <P>SOLUTION: Two units of speaker holes 8 and 9 that output various sounds including a receiving sound from a caller are disposed in the neighbouring area of the upper side and the lower side of an upper body 5 in the longer direction on the same surface of the display 11 mounting surface of the upper body 5. A microphone sound hole 4 for transmission to a communication partner is disposed on the lower side face of a lower body 6. In the case of a folding type portable terminal, the terminal is closed by turning the upper body 5 around a hinge 7 for covering the lower body 6 from above while exposing the speaker holes 8 and 9 to the outside. It becomes possible to eliminate a single-purpose receiver by allowing either one of the speaker holes 8 or 9 to serve as a receiver for receiving sound from a communication partner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
