<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system which can identify pieces of data before and after a flash command and can receive another command after the flash command. <P>SOLUTION: A non-volatile memory 17 stores data. A buffer 15 temporarily stores at least one piece of data to be written in the non-volatile memory. An interface unit 13 receives a request from a host device 12. A buffer control unit 14 has a counter 21 incremented every time the buffer control unit 14 receives a flash request to collectively write the at least one piece of data held by the buffer in the non-volatile memory, and transmits the at least one piece of data held by the buffer 15 to the non-volatile memory 17 on the basis of a count value of the counter 21.
