<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle equipment capable of enhancing convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A reception mode starts when an ignition is turned on and continues over a certain period of time. In the reception mode, a receiving mode as with an RKE mode is changed over to a state in which a request signal can be received. Then, when it is determined that a predetermined operation is performed to an unlocking switch 36 or a locking switch 37 of an electronic key 30 from a received locking request signal or unlocking request signal, the reception mode is shifted to a registration mode.
