<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a photocatalyst coated object which is formed on the surface of an existing construction base in a short time, and maintains a good photocatalytic hydrophilic performance, water resistance, and weatherability for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming a photocatalyst coated object comprises a step to apply putty containing cement and/or slaked lime onto a base, a step to apply a first water-based coating liquid containing an epoxy resin on top of the putty before the putty is completely dried, a step to apply a second water-based coating liquid containing a silicone-modified resin on top of the first water-based coating, and a step to apply a third water-based coating liquid containing photocatalyst particles on top of the second water-based coating to create a photocatalyst layer.
