<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a magnetic stripe in the first place when the magnetic stripe on a transaction card is unreadable, and continue a transaction on the basis of information from a restored magnetic stripe. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic transaction device 1 includes a card processing section 8 that receives and processes a transaction card 10 including a magnetic record section 101 in which information for performing a transaction is magnetically recorded, and an IC chip 102 in which information related to the transaction is recorded. When the card processing section 8 cannot read magnetic record information from the magnetic record section 101 of the transaction card 10, the automatic transaction device determines whether or not the transaction card includes the IC chip 102 in a substrate thereof, when the transaction card 10 includes the IC chip 102, reads the information inside the IC chip 102 and restores the magnetic record information based on the information inside the IC chip 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
