A clarifying reagent for biological materials according to the present invention is a solution which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of urea and urea derivatives at a concentration of 1 to 8.5 M inclusive and also contains glycerol at a concentration of 25 to 35 (w/v)% inclusive.
