<p>The apparatus has a belt (1) fluid tightly forming a continuous loop to guide a fibrous material web (W). A treatment zone (N) is formed between the belt and a fluid tight rolling-type pressure component (2), so that the web is passed through the zone and pressurized with pressure in which a temperature difference is obtained between the pressure component and the belt. The temperature difference is adjusted such that a fluid film i.e. water film, is formed at surfaces of cold elements of the pressure component and the belt. The belt is made of metallic, synthetic and ceramic materials. The treatment apparatus has a mechanical cleaning device or a non-contact cleaning device e.g. fluid cleaning device or oscillation cleaning device, for cleaning surfaces e.g. smooth surface, unpolished surface or structured surface, of the pressure component and the belt. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating a fibrous material web.</p> |
