<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which achieves good heat radiation performance for heat generated from a light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device according to one embodiment of this invention includes: a metal substrate having a through hole opening at an upper surface; a light emitting element placed on the upper surface of the metal substrate; an insulation member filling the through hole; a wiring conductor disposed in the insulation member so as to be separated from the metal substrate and electrically connecting with the light emitting element; and a frame body which serves as the upper surface of the metal substrate, is disposed so as to enclose the light emitting element and the insulation member when viewed in a plain view, and is formed of a metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
