<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable writing image data in another storage device as much as possible even when getting close to the end of service life in an image processing device which concurrently uses a storage device with limitation in a rewriting frequency and another storage device without limitation. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing device, a threshold of a writing frequency to be set in the image processing device is calculated based on durable years and used hours of the image processing device and an upper limit of a writing frequency to be set in an SSD (S102). When writing the image data in the SSD, it is determined whether the writing frequency for the SSD should be restricted by comparing the threshold of the writing frequency calculated by the calculation means with a controlled writing frequency (S105).
