<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoking type insecticide having low staining property, capable of volatilizing an active constituent efficiently, and to provide a smoking type insecticidal device and an insecticidal method using the smoking type insecticide. <P>SOLUTION: The smoking type insecticide contains (A) glycol, (B) a pyrethroid-based insecticidal ingredient and (C) at least one selected from sugars and sugar alcohols. The smoking type insecticidal device is formed by arranging the smoking type insecticide and a heat generation part for generating heat at 150-450°C across a heat transfer part.
