The invention relates to an apparatus for measuring NO in the air exhaled by an individual, comprising an intake (1) via which the apparatus receives the air exhaled by an individual, a buffer chamber (3) which serves to temporarily accumulate at least a part of the exhaled air, an electrochemical sensor (5) intended for determining the NO concentration in the exhaled air, and a device for transferring the exhaled air (7) from the buffer chamber (3) to the sensor (5), which controls the passage of this exhaled air over the sensor (5) at a flow rate of approximately 0.5 to 50 cm3/s, in which the apparatus comprises a pipe (9) capable of recirculating the exhaled air from the outlet of the sensor (5) to the buffer chamber (3), thus creating a closed circuit. |
