The module (1) has multiple prismatic memory cells (10) arranged one behind the other and braced between two end plates (30, 35) i.e. pressure plate, over two opposite tie rods (40, 42). The end plates comprise two pairs of opposite sides (101-104) at distances (A1, A2), where one of the distances is greater than the other distance. The tie rods engage at the end plates at one of the pairs of opposed sides. The tie rods are made of a metal sheet and formed as a heat guide plate for removing heat from the cells to a cooling device. The cells comprise connection terminals (11, 12).
