The sealing arrangement comprises a plastic housing (1), in which a sleeve-shaped insert (2) made of a metallic material is arranged. The insert encloses the outer circumferential side of a rod-shaped machine element (3). The insert is connected with a seal (4) made of elastomeric sealing material, which encloses the surface (5) of the machine element to be sealed in a sealing manner.
