<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detection device in which lower cost and lower power consumption are achieved while suppressing influence of hysteresis characteristic of a magnetic core to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The current detection device includes an exciting coil 3 that is wound around the magnetic core 2 surrounding a lead wire 1 in which a measurement current flows; an oscillation circuit 4 that supplies an exciting current whose polarity is inverted to the exciting coil 3, and outputs a signal in response to a change of the exciting current; and a detection circuit 5 that detects a current flowing through the lead wire 1 according to an output signal from the oscillation circuit 4. The exciting current supplied to the exciting coil 3 from the oscillation circuit 4 is determined so that a magnetic flux density of the magnetic core 2 is equal to or larger than a residual magnetic flux density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
