The present invention relates to an electronic janggu drum having a system for manipulating a musical performance, in which melodies may be easily studied through an electronic game for learning rhythms or melodies that are unique to Korea using a traditional Korean janggu drum, and which enables the rhythms of Korea to be systematically studied using the system for manipulating a musical performance to adjust the difficulty of the rhythms and to use learning progress plans and individual progress checks through a learning progress memory, in order to improve learning efficiency and make learning the Korean melodies easy and fun for students. The present invention also relates to a novel method for performing music using the electronic janggu drum.
