<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of an indicated position of each indication object (multi-point detection) and detection of the indication object or a user using the indication object (user detection). <P>SOLUTION: A signal generator is provided for generating a signal differing depending on each user. The signal generator is configured to supply a signal to a sensor part through an indication object. In a multi-touch/multi-user detector 1, a transmission part 200 supplies a predetermined signal to each transmission conductor 11Y. Each reception conductor 12X receives the signal from the transmission conductor 11Y and the signal from the user's signal generator.
