COPOLYMER, COSMETIC COMPOSITION AND HAIR COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a copolymer excellent in adsorbed amount of cationic surfactant, viscosity and smoothness on application when used as a hair cosmetic; a cosmetic composition containing the same; and a hair cosmetic.

SOLUTION: This copolymer includes: a constituent unit corresponding to a vinylic monomer (A) having a carboxy group in the structure; a constituent unit corresponding to a specific hydrophilic nonionic vinylic monomer (B); and a constituent unit corresponding to a specific hydrophobic vinylic monomer (C), wherein the proportion of the constituent unit corresponding to the vinylic monomer (A) is 15-80 mass% based on the total mass of the copolymer.
