<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft storage device capable of securely engaging a weft with a weft engaging pin of a rotating drum. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a weft storage device in which: a weft engaging pin 21 progresses on an outer circumference surface 13A of a rotating drum 13, prior to starting the weft insertion of a weft Y1, such that a solenoid mechanism 34 releases the restriction of a weft guiding lever 15; and the weft guiding lever 15 is moved to an axis center X of the rotating drum 13 by a spring 35 such that a yarn presser 33 transfers the weft Y1 to the side of the rotating drum 13; and a cam follower 32 is introduced from an introducing opening cam portion of a cam 14 to a groove cam portion such that the position of the weft guiding lever 15 is maintained; and at a time when a certain amount of the weft Y1 is wound and stored, the weft insertion of the weft is started by a weft insertion nozzle 1; and the winding and storage of the weft Y1 to the rotating drum 13 is continuously performed, and ceased before the weft insertion of the weft Y1 is finished.
