<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consciousness deterioration determining device capable of highly accurately determining a consciousness deteriorated state of a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The consciousness deterioration determining device 1 comprises a forward detection sensor 2, a vehicle speed sensor 3, a steering angle sensor 4 and an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 5. The ECU 5 calculates a determination index (namely, a relative steering angle ψr, a deviation risk degree MLC) on the basis of detection results of the respective sensors 2, 3, and 4. The ECU 5 detects the consciousness deteriorated state of a driver using a two-dimensional map in which thresholds are set, the thresholds being two-dimensional values of the determination index and a horizontal position in a coordinate system including the horizontal position of a vehicle 10 with respect to a driving lane and the determination index on coordinate axes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
