<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a permanent magnet type electrical rotating machine which can reduce a cogging torque component arising from rotor side variations. <P>SOLUTION: A permanent magnet type electrical rotating machine comprises a rotor 10 including a polygonal rotor core 11 and a plurality of permanent magnets 15 and a stator 20 including a stator core 21 and an armature coil 25. Letting the number of poles be M, the number of slots be N, and when M pieces of permanent magnets are sequentially assigned numbers from No. 1 to No. M in a circumferential direction, letting the amount of displacement in the i'th permanent magnet (i=1, 2, and so on, M) from a reference position at equal distance in a radial direction and at equal distance in a circumferential direction from the center of a rotation axis be h<SB POS="POST">i</SB>, unit vectors for a total of M pieces in an angle direction of 2πN(i-1)/M(rad) are defined, where the magnitude of a total sum of vectors for a total of M pieces derived by multiplying the respective vectors by the amount of displacement h<SB POS="POST">i</SB>is smaller than the maximum value in absolute value of the amount of displacement h<SB POS="POST">i</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
