<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, a control method of the same and a program, which can cause edge emphasis processing to function effectively and create an HDR image with reduced noise. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup device 1 comprises: image memories 104-106 respectively storing a plurality of images obtained by imaging with different exposures; an edge extraction circuit 103 extracting edges of the plurality of images, respectively; edge signal memories 107-109 storing edge images respectively indicating the extracted edges of the plurality of images; an alignment circuit 110 performing alignments of the plurality of images with the plurality of edge images; a gain adjustment circuit 111 adjusting gains of each of the plurality of aligned images and adjusting gains of each of the plurality of aligned edge images in such a way that the higher the exposure of the image, the larger the gain; and an image synthesis circuit 118 synthesizing the plurality of adjusted images and the plurality of adjusted edge images into one image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
