COLOR FILTER FOR WHITE LIGHT EMITTING DIODE LIGHT SOURCE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that uses a white LED light source and is superior in color reproducibility and brightness, and a color filter to be used for the liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: A color filter 1 includes a transparent substrate 2 and a colored layer 4 located on the transparent substrate 2, in which the colored layer 4 includes at least a red pattern 4R, a green pattern 4G, and a blue pattern 4B, and the difference between a blue light emission peak wavelength in a light emission wavelength distribution of a white light emitting diode light source and a light transmittance peak wavelength of the blue pattern 4B is equal to or less than 5 nm.
