摘要 The invention relates to a toroidal engine used in the transportation means and as a power source in stationary installations with the purpose of reducing the consumption of fuel and diminishing the greenhouse effect. According to the invention, the engine comprises a toroidal cylinder () inside which two opposing toroidal pistons () move, said pistons having an alternating rotary motion about a common axle () located on a common joint (), the link between the common joint () and each of the toroidal pistons () being carried out by means of a balance lever () integral with the toroidal piston () and the alternating motion of each of the two toroidal pistons () being transmitted to a connecting rod () articulated to an end () by means of a bolt () located on the balance lever () or on the toroidal piston (), and to the other end, the connecting rod () being articulated on its own crank shaft () and the motion of the two crank shafts () being synchronized by means of two pinion gears () having a unitary transmission ratio (i=1).
