<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply deblocking filtering to a dividing boundary when performing coding processing on a plurality of divided images, obtained by dividing an image into a plurality of regions, while using a plurality of coding means. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to a coding apparatus including a first coding means for coding a first divided image among a plurality of divided images and a second coding means for coding a second divided image among the plurality of divided images. The first coding means and the second coding means perform coding by dividing a divided image to be coded into macro blocks each having either a first block size or a second block size larger than the first block size. In the case where the first divided image is preceding to the second divided image in a raster scan order and the first divided image and the second divided image are adjacent to each other, the first coding means codes a macro block which is in contact with a boundary of the first divided image and the second divided image and belongs to the first divided image, in the second block size. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
