<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film in which wavelength dispersion is reverse dispersion, Rth per film thickness is high, and a display when the film is pasted on a panel after polarizing plate working is made uniform in the plane, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film includes cellulose acylate in which the total acyl substitution degree is 2.1 to 2.8, and in which the elastic modulus in the carrying direction of the film is ≥3,200 MPa, and the variation of the elastic modulus in the width direction of the film is ≤0.5 GPa, and satisfies the following inequalities (1) to (3): inequality (1) 0≤ΔRe≤15.0 (wherein, ΔRe denotes a value (unit: nm) obtained by reducing the value of the in-plane retardation in a wavelength of 450 nm from the value of the retardation in the in-plane direction in a wavelength of 630 nm); inequality (2) 2×10<SP POS="POST">-3</SP>≤Rth/d≤6×10<SP POS="POST">-3</SP>(wherein, Rth denotes the value (unit:nm) of the retardation in the film thickness direction in a wavelength of 550 nm; and d denotes the thickness (unit: μm) of the film); and inequality (3) 1.0≤E'(TD)/R'(MD)≤1.43 (wherein, E'(MD) denotes the elastic modulus (unit:MPa) in the conveying direction of the film; and E' denotes the elastic modulus (unit: MPa) in the width direction of the film). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
