<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting the inside of an edible fruit with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: When an edible fruit inspection device inspects the inside of an edible fruit, the inspection device stores groups of pixel values of a first part, a second part, and a pseudo first part that is a candidate for the first part in the inner structure of the edible fruit in advance at least as known examples. When inspecting the inside of an edible fruit, the inspection device acquires a transmitted light image of the edible fruit to be inspected in a predetermined wavelength band, and extracts, in the transmitted light image, a first area to be identified as the first part, a second area to be identified as the second area, a pseudo first area, around the second area, which includes an area to be identified as the pseudo first part, using the acquired transmitted light image and the known examples. In addition, the inspection device determines whether or not features of the geometric shape of the pseudo first area meet conditions of the first part, and also determines whether or not the first part is present in the edible fruit to be inspected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
