<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel inlet for vacuum cleaner capable of easily removing by suction pollen or the like clung to clothes or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A means is adopted in which an inlet body, as the inlet for vacuum cleaner, has a connection portion to a hose on one side thereof, the other side of the inlet is formed with a suction opening, a filter cradle and an external cover to cover the same are detachably fitted to the suction opening, and a dust collection filter can be sandwiched between the filter cradle and the external cover. Furthermore, the filter cradle can be fitted and fixed through the engagement of a recess provided on an opening circumference of the suction opening and a locking hook provided on a side circumferencial surface of the filter cradle. The external cover is fitted openably and closably through a hinge portion provided at part of the circumference of the suction opening. For the dust collection filter, a nonwoven fabric is used that is tight enough to prevent passage of at least pollen and has a protruding knob portion on one side thereof.
