<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cane-cum-chair that can be used in a standing posture, takes little space, puts no strain on knees, and can be used at ease even in congestion. <P>SOLUTION: The cane-cum-chair includes: a cane 2 with a grip 1; a support plate 5 having notches 3a to 3d distributed in the longitudinal direction z of the cane-cum-chair and having a guide face 4 higher than the notch arrangement; a base 9 for seated height adjustment having a length from the lower end of the notch arrangement to the guide face, the lower end part of the base having a pin 6 fitted in the notches, and the upper end part of the base being guided in the direction z when moved; connecting members 10 and 11 supporting the adjustment base such that this base is movable in the direction z relative to the cane and the pin 6 is inserted into or removed from the notches; a bottom rest 12 supporting the bottom of a user in a standing posture; and a hinge 14 provided at the upper end of the seated height adjustment base, supporting the bottom rest 12 to keep rotatable, and able to fix the bottom rest at a retracting position in which the bottom rest is parallel to the cane and an upward bottom rest position tilting upward from a horizontal angle orthogonal to the cane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
