<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glucose quickly with high yield by decomposing cellulose. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing glucose from cellulose includes heating ionic liquid mixed with cellulose by microwave irradiation to decompose the cellulose to thereby produce glucose with high yield. The temperature of ionic liquid in microwave irradiation is 120-140°C. It is preferable to use 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride as the ionic liquid, and electromagnetic field distribution from a microwave irradiation means is preferably a single mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
