The present invention relates to an optical guidance system for positioning a helicopter in relation to a wind turbine. The optical guidance system comprises a reference board comprising at least two reference elements arranged in a matrix, and at least a first reference point and a second reference point arranged at a first distance from said reference board, wherein the first distance extends from the reference board towards the helicopter. The present invention also relates to a wind turbine comprising an optical guidance system as described above and to a method for positioning a helicopter in relation to a wind turbine, comprising the steps of arranging a helicopter having a pilot near the wind turbine, guiding the helicopter by the pilot visually aligning the reference elements of the reference board with the reference points of an optical guidance system as described above so that the helicopter is guided to a predetermined spatial position in relation to the wind turbine.
