PURPOSE: An on-off side thruster is provided to reduce resistance by maintaining a linear shape of a hull by closing a tunnel entrance during sailing and opening the same during turning by mounting a sliding door in both entrances of the tunnel. CONSTITUTION: An on-off side thruster comprises sliding doors(120) and a driving unit. The sliding doors open or close a tunnel of the side thruster of a ship. The driving unit is mounted on a hull of the ship. The driving unit is connected to the sliding doors so that the sliding doors can be moved to open and close the tunnel entrance. |
