PURPOSE: A fishing prevention system and method thereof are provided to prevent voice fishing or text message fishing by authenticating an originating number. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(120) detects the originating number of a call using the installed fishing prevention application. The portable terminal requests the authentication of the originating number in real time by responding to the reception of the call. The portable terminal receives responses from a fishing prevention portable terminal. The response includes information for a call originated from the fishing prevention portable terminal. The portable terminal processes a fishing prevention process for the call based on the responses.
