PURPOSE: A device for transceiving a signal and a method for controlling the same are provided to reduce caloric value of a multifunctional chip by preventing unnecessary power waste. CONSTITUTION: A serial/parallel converter(412) converts a serial signal for amplifying, phase-transiting, and variable-reducing a first switch and a transceiving common path unit. The serial/ parallel converter provides the converted parallel signal to each element of the first switch and the transceiving common unit. A diving amplifier(410) amplifies a signal which is provided to an antenna. A second switch supplies or blocks the power of the driving amplifier. A bias circuit(411) controls a second switch to supply the power only when transmitting a signal to the driving amplifier. |
