The machine tool comprises a hub drive device (13), by which a press tool (11) is movable along a hub axis (14) in the direction of a workpiece to be processed or in the counter direction. The hub drive device has a wedge gear (21) provided between a motor drive and the press tool, where the wedge gear has two input-sided wedge gear elements (22,23) and two output-sided wedge gear elements (24,25). The input-sided wedge gear elements simultaneously lie opposite to the assigned output-sided wedge gear element at the corresponding wedge surface.
