<p>Fraudulent use is detected of fuel, intended for a specific car. The specific car has a fuel tank, a data processing system that generates system data, and a token. The system data relates to functional conditions in operational use of the car, e.g., fuel level in the tank, current fuel consumption, odometer reading, etc. The token stores an identifier associated with the specific car. The token receives the system data from the data processing system, and supplies token data to a server via a terminal at a fuel station at the current refueling. The token data comprises at least the identifier or the system data. From the terminal, the server also receives terminal data relating to an amount of fuel obtained from the fuel station, and an identity of the specific car as captured by a surveillance camera. The server processes the token data and the terminal data and issues an alert if the server notes a discrepancy.</p> |
