The panel-type radiator (1) has one of two half shells (4) connected to a hot plate (2). A spacer densely fills an upper collecting channel in the direction of flow. A vent hole is provided, which is smaller as compared to a flow area. Air flows from a rear area in the spacer by the venting of the panel-type radiator.
