PURPOSE: A membrane-electrode assembly for slid oxide fuel cell is provided to improve performance of a solid oxide fuel cell by increasing the specific surface area of cathode powder. CONSTITUTION: A membrane-electrode assembly for slid oxide fuel cell comprises a cathode, an anode, and electrolyte membrane comprising solid oxide. The cathode comprises a specific surface area of 50 m^2/g or more, and perovskite type oxide comprising lanthanum(La) and strontium(Sr). The perovskite type oxide has a specific surface area of 60-150 m^2/g. The perovskite type oxide additionally comprises one or more elements selected from a group consisting of Co, Fe, Mn, Ni, Ti and combinations thereof.
