Method and aircraft equipped with a device for reducing vibrations

The aircraft (1) has a vibration reducing system (6) comprising a two-stage active vibration absorber (10) whose first and second seismic mass portions (11, 12) are connected to an associated suspension bar (5) and the first portion by first and second elastic units (21, 22), respectively. The portions surround the bar to induce absorption of vibrations along an absorption axis (AX). The absorber has an electromagnetic force generator (15) interposed between the portions to introduce a control force upon an instruction of a control unit (16) as a function of information from a sensor (17). The sensor measures monitoring parameters of the bar, and is formed by a force sensor or an accelerometer. The second elastic unit is a volute spring. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing vibrations in a cabin of an aircraft.
