A roller-type one-way clutch (30) includes an outer race (1) with a pocket (4) with a cam surface (12) formed on an inner surface and having an annular shoulder (13) at an axial edge, an inner race (2) separated to the radial inside diameter side with respect to the outer race, disposed concentrically and relatively rotatable, and having an annular outer peripheral raceway surface (11), a plurality of rollers (3) disposed on the pocket, engaged in the cam surface, and transmitting torque between the outer race and the inner race, a cage (6) provided with a cylindrical part (10) having a circumferential groove (22) formed on an periphery thereof, and a window (18) provided in the cylindric part, holding the plurality of rollers, a retaining ring (26) fitted into the groove and engaged with the shoulder of the outer race, and a spring (5) provided on the pocket, one end of which is latched to the outer race, to bias the rollers in the engagement direction with the cam surface, wherein the cage is rotatable relative to the outer race.
