PURPOSE: A treatment apparatus of volatile organic compound gas and a method for the same are provided to treat plenty of fluid per time and to extend the life of an electrode by arc rotation. CONSTITUTION: A treatment apparatus of volatile organic compound gas includes a cylindrical reactor(10), an electrode part(30), a high voltage generating part(40), a compound storing part(90), an air storing part(80), a mixer(50), an introducing part(60), and an FT-IR analyzing part. An air outlet(20) is arranged at the lower part of a cylindrical reactor. Two electrodes are mounted in the cylindrical reactor with the interval. The high voltage generating part, installed at the outer side of the cylindrical reactor, applies electricity to the electrode part to induce rotating arc discharge. The compound storing part receives and stores volatile organic compound gas from the outside of the apparatus. The mixer supplies the mixed gas of the volatile organic compound gas and air into the cylindrical reactor. The introducing part rotates in the cylindrical reactor and supplies the mixed gas into the cylindrical reactor. The FT-IR analyzing part is connected to the air outlet to quantitatively qualitatively analyze exhaust gas.
