The solar cell arrangement for a thin-film solar module (1), comprises a substrate, on which a layer structure disposing over several layers is applied, where the layer structure is divided into four different areas that are electrically separated from each other by area trenches. A solar cell strand is formed in each area and consists of serially connected and rectified solar cells. The solar cell strands (28, 29) are serially connected by intermediate contacts. The layer structure comprises a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer and a semi-conductor layer. A solar cell strand is formed in each area and consists of serially connected and rectified solar cells. The solar cell strands (28, 29) are serially connected by intermediate contacts. The layer structure comprises a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer and a semi-conductor layer arranged between the both electrode layers, where PN-junction, in which the semi-conductor layer is formed from chalcopyrite compound, cadmium telluride and/or silicon, is formed by the semi-conductor layer. The solar cell arrangement has a first terminal contact (32) and a second terminal contact (33), which are electrically connected with one another by the four solar cell strands, intermediate contacts, which are serially connected, and a connecting housing, in which the both terminal contacts are connected. The four solar cell strands are serially connected by the intermediate contacts. Both terminal contacts are connected to a separate connecting housing. The solar cells are formed in a strip-shaped manner. The terminal contacts and the intermediate contacts are formed in the form of contact strips. The area trench has a width of 1-3 mm measured transverse to its extension. The area trench is filled with an electrically insulating material.
