PURPOSE: A maintenance method of an energy reading system is provided to recognize a communication state of a measuring instrument and a center communication device in a reading server, thereby remotely repairing the measuring instrument and the center communication device. CONSTITUTION: A reading server receives the amount of energy data through a plurality of measuring units, a wireless communication unit, and a center reading unit(S11). The reading server determines whether or not of abnormality of the amount of energy data(S12). The reading server tests the center reading unit(S13). When the center reading unit is normal, the reading server tests the wireless communication unit. When the wireless communication unit is normal, the reading server tests the measuring units.
