PURPOSE: An exhaust gas post treatment system is provided to prevent the generation of white smoke during the regeneration of a diesel particulate filter by removing moisture from sulfur compounds. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas post treatment method comprises following steps. The temperature of exhaust gas is maintained as the first set temperature for the first set time to remove moisture from sulfur compounds. The temperature of exhaust gas is maintained as the second set temperature higher than the first set temperature for the second set time after a white smoke removal step.
