PURPOSE: A method for refining high-purity gold is provided to improve gold refining effect by removing silver, copper, zinc, and iron not melted and includes in gold scrap before reaction between the gold scrap and aqua regia. CONSTITUTION: A method for refining high-purity gold comprises the steps of: pulverizing gold scrap including foreign materials to obtain gold powder, mixing the pulverized gold powder with a reaction solution to melt foreign materials in the gold powder and remove the foreign materials first, melting the gold powder using aqua regia, removing foreign materials from the aqua regia solution containing dissolved gold alloy, and extracting gold through phase separation using a difference of specific gravity between aqueous phase and organic phase.
