PURPOSE: A hybrid relay network providing method in a high SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) system and relay node applying the same are provided to transmit combined signals to a destination node by combining an SDF(Selective Decode-and-Forward) processed signal with an IDF(Incremental-Decode-and-Forward) processed signal. CONSTITUTION: An SDF unit(230) processes an input signal received from a source node according to an SDF relay protocol. An IDF unit(220) processes the input signal according to an IDF relay protocol. A combination unit(240) combines the SDF processed signal and the IDF processed signal. A transmission unit(250) transmits the combined signal to a destination node. The SDF unit processes the input signal when a decoding process is possible.
