FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic chemistry and particularly to methods of producing anode and cathode catalysts based on platinum group metals which are meant for use in electrolysis cells and fuel cells with a solid polymer electrolyte. The method of producing a catalyst on a carbon support involves preparation of a mixture of starting compounds of the carbon support, hexachloroplatinic acid, a nickel salt in aqueous solution containing ethylene glycol and ethyl alcohol, adding aqueous solution of an alkali to the mixture of starting compounds, reducing Pt and Ni metals, treating the mixture with ultrasound while bubbling the mixture with inert gas, cooling the mixture to room temperature, washing and drying the catalyst, wherein the mixture of starting compounds additionally contains palladium and/or cobalt salts, and after drying, the catalyst is treated in hydrogen-inert gas plasma.EFFECT: longer service life of the catalyst without reduction of its active surface and, as a result, wider qualitative composition of the catalyst material - use of additives of platinum-iridium group metals.13 cl, 24 ex |
