PURPOSE: A dust collecting apparatus is provided to protect operators from various polluted environments by automatically implementing a dust exhausting process. CONSTITUTION: A dust collecting apparatus includes a housing(3), a plurality of filtering plate members(11), dividing frames(13, 15), and damper members(17, 19). A space part is formed in the housing. An air inlet(7) and an air outlet(9) are arranged at the upper side of the housing. The filtering plate members are installed at the space part. The filtering plate members reduce the speed of air, introduced through the air inlet, and drop dust from the air. The dividing frames are installed under the filtration plate members to divide the lower part of the space part. An exhausting path is formed at the center parts of the dividing frames. The damper members are mounted at the dividing frames to block the exhausting path. The damper members move according to the weight of collected dust which is drop from the air.
