PURPOSE: A material temperature measuring apparatus is provided to accurately measure the temperature of a material by preventing vapor produced by evaporation of cleaning water from flowing between a temperature measuring unit and the material. CONSTITUTION: A material temperature measuring apparatus comprises a transfer roller unit(10), a descaler unit(20) which is arranged above the transfer roller unit and sprays cleaning water to the transfer roller unit, a temperature measuring unit(30) which is arranged behind the descaler unit to measure the temperature of a material(S), a discharge duct unit(40) which houses the temperature measuring unit and draws in and sprays exterior air to the transfer roller unit in order to prevent vapor from flowing between the temperature measuring unit and the material, and a suction duct unit(50) which is arranged at the side of the transfer path of the material and draws in vapor.
