PURPOSE: A fire refuge is provided to improve the external appearance of the fire refuge by using slidable covers. CONSTITUTION: A fire refuge includes a refuge part(1), an upper frame(3), a lower frame(5), a length adjusting bar(9), an upper cover(11), a lower cover(13), a connecting bar(15), and an opening sensor. The refuge part is formed at the bottoms of each floor in a high-story building. The frames are installed at edges of the entrance and the exit of the refuge part. The upper side of the length adjusting bar is fixed to the upper frame. The lower side of the length adjusting bar is bolt-combined with the lower frame. The upper cover covers the upper side of the refuge part. The lower cover coves the lower side of the refuge part. The connecting bar connects the covers.
