PURPOSE: An air conditioner for vehicles is provided to increase energy efficiency and heating performance by reusing the high temperature heat of a heater controller. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner(500) for vehicles comprises an air conditioning case(100), a blower unit(200), an evaporator, a heater unit, and a heater controller(300). The blower unit supplies the air to the air conditioning case through an inlet. The evaporator is placed inside the air conditioning case, and cools the air from the inlet. The heater unit comprises a electric heater. The electric heater is formed at the rear side of the evaporator, and heats the air The heater controller controls the electric heater, and installed to be exposed to the outside.
